"You don’t get to pick where you’re from, but you
always have control of where you’re going."
When I was growing up I was brought into a family which I
had an older sister at the house and four brothers that lived in Denison. My
mom met my dad after they both had divorces. My four brothers are from my dad
and his wife before my mom. My mom and dad had me together and my sister came
from my mom and her husband before my dad.
So growing up was a very good time in my house hold I had a sister that would do whatever she could do to help
out with me because she is only 12 and a half years older than me so I can
relate to her with things. My mom’s dad lived
in Kansas City, I never got to meet my grandmother on my mom’s side because she
died when my mom was only 19 years old so that took some time for me to get
used to going to my grandpas house and grandma not there. My dad’s parents are
still alive they live in Red Oak. My relationship with them is very good I see
them once or more a week. So I guess
what this was trying to say is when the going gets tough keep on trucking
because there is a brighter future out there then what is right in front of you
at this very moment. Things happen to good people and vice versa but every day
you have to get up and tell yourself that this is going to be a good day and if
there is something bad that goes wrong then you will take the punches where
they may fall.
